YPDLC VP to Participate in Georgia Forward Young Gamechangers
DUBLIN, GA (7/12/17): Beatriz Lleras has been accepted to the Georgia Forward Young Gamechangers Fall 2017 program. Young Gamechangers is a leadership action program that brings together 50 of Georgia’s brightest minds under the age of 40, to help solve persistent challenges of one Georgia community.
Each class works for six months to generate big ideas and recommendations for persistent challenges in a Georgia community which they present to the community at the conclusion of the program. Lleras' class will focus on Milledgeville, Georgia.
Georgia Forward brings together thought-leaders, decision-makers and stakeholders to address some of Georgia’s biggest challenges. They seek to stimulate big-picture, statewide thinking that embraces collaborative, innovative, and pragmatic solutions. The purpose of the program is to strengthen communities, unite the State and create a talent pipeline within Georgia.
Beatriz Lleras began her professional career with the Dublin-Laurens County Development Authority in October of 2014 as the Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator. She graduated from the University of Georgia in May of 2014 where she earned double bachelor’s degrees in Communication Studies and Romance Languages. Beatriz serves as Vice-President on the Founding Board for the Young Professionals of Dublin-Laurens County, is a graduate of the Leadership Dublin-Laurens Class of 2016, served as the President of the Order of the Blarney Stone for 2016, and the Vice Co-Chairman for the 2017 St. Patrick’s Festival Committee in Dublin. She is also the Co-Chairman for the Dublin-Laurens International Committee, and a member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association.
